My role
My part
Team project : 4 people. This list only covers my part.
- Cinematics end to end: writing and editing in DaVinci Resolve, with voices, visual effects and existing sound effects and music
- Some of the voice acting
- Contributed to the interface mock-ups (UX/UI)
- Generated some of the visuals with AI (Gemini): interface elements and cinematic images, cut out and retouched in Photoshop
Context
A hands-on exercise completed in 48 hours. Our teacher started from a CEA video explaining the states of water and how they change, which she found dated and ill-suited to young people. Our goal: turn it into a game that speaks to them.
Tone
The game is largely a parody of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: the over-the-top tone, the drawing style, the staging of the cinematics. The humour is there to make learning more memorable.
Cinematics & voice acting
I handled the cinematics from writing to editing: AI-generated images, then editing in DaVinci Resolve with voices, visual effects and existing sound effects and music. I also did some of the voice acting.
Good to know
AI disclosure
AI-assisted code. Most of the game’s visuals were AI-generated (with Gemini for the ones I produced), some cut out and retouched in Photoshop. In the cinematics, the images are AI-generated; editing and visual effects were done by hand in DaVinci Resolve, using existing sound effects and music.
Unofficial parody
A parody game inspired by JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, made in an educational setting. It is not affiliated with the work or its rights holders.
